How to remove semi-permanent nail-poilish with acetone.

The biggest benefit of using semi-permanent nail polish is that it lasts much longer than regular nail polish. Plus it doesn’t crack or peel easily and retains its shine longer, which is why it’s many people’s choice!

However, there are certain steps and suggestions we have to take to remove the semi-permanent nail-polish safely, we will tell you them step by step:

Step by step to remove semi-permanent nail polish safely.

1 - Get a 180 file to remove your semi-permanent nail-polish. File the top layer of the color gel or top coat to remove part of the product and allow the remover to pass through the surface of the color. The nail should be opaque.

2- Soak a cotton pad with the remover and place it on the nail. At this point, we can hold it with finger protectors, finger capsules or aluminium foil to keep the cotton moist and increase the efficiency of the product.

3- Wait 10 to 15 minutes and remove the caps or aluminum foil. Remove the remains with an orange stick and polish.

4- Clean the nail with a wipe cloth soaked with clarifier. Finally, apply cuticle oil.

Do you want some tips on how to take care of your semi-permanent nail polish?

  • Be especially careful in the first 24 hours after application and avoid intense heat during this time (e.g. saunas, hot baths).
  • Use cuticle oil daily to keep your nails nourished, stimulate growth and prevent nail lift.
  • Wear gloves when washing or cleaning and avoid contact with chlorine bleach (household “bleach” products) and abrasive products.
  • Never pull or peel the product, as this could damage your natural nail. We also recommend that you avoid filing the nails and pushing back the cuticles, as this can break the gel and cause nail lift.
